From Urban Hustle to Rural Serenity
Our Move to the Country
In 2011, we moved our family from the bustling Tampa/St. Petersburg area to the serene countryside of central Florida. Many are surprised to learn that Florida boasts a beautiful rural landscape, often overlooked as people travel to the major coastal cities or Orlando. We discovered and purchased a charming 5-acre property with a block home outside of San Antonio, Florida, surrounded by the state's rich agricultural and livestock areas.
Embracing the Countryside
Our little gem is surrounded by hay pastures and diverse livestock, including cattle, horses, goats, donkeys, sheep, and alpacas. The area teems with native wildlife such as wild turkeys, Sandhill Cranes, Gopher Tortoises, and even Florida Alligators. Our property also features fields of fruit trees—lemon, lime, banana, orange, and peach—along with thriving strawberries, blueberries, and wild blackberries. The air is filled with the fresh scents of cut hay, Magnolias, Jasmine, and beautiful Live Angel Oak trees, a refreshing change from the city life we left behind.
A Love for Woodworking
We have always loved wooden creations, appreciating the unique knots, grain patterns, and character specific to each type of wood. Our woodworking hobby naturally evolved into various homestead projects on our 5 acres and eventually into a business, driven by the positive response from people who shared our passion for woodwork.
Our Growing Business
We are blessed to have turned our passion into a thriving business. We love creating products that delight our customers and provide them with practical, handcrafted kitchen supplies and furnishings. We specialize in making cutting boards, charcuterie boards, bread and cheese boards, custom serving trays, and decorative wall hangers for hats, keys, mugs, and more.
